A clean break for the future
The Euro 4 limits - in force since October 2005 - brought another major reduction in pollutant emissions. Euro 5 will be following in October 2008 - another great step towards a clean environment. MAN provides innovative exhaust-gas technologies that both meet future requirements and are perfectly tailored to customers' requirements.
Today the emissions from the natural-gas and liquefied-gas engines (CNG, LPG) developed by MAN are already below those laid down by the Euro 5 and EEV standards.
Hydrogen meets the requirements for a mobile fuel of the future. MAN is currently working hard on further development of this hydrogen technology with a view to introducing it into series production in due course. Hydrogen engines have been successfully field-tested in MAN scheduled route buses.
